Every one of us there represented several more who could not make it. When a British paper reports over a million, you have to lend credence to the claim, because they're hardly on our side. When you cannot see the end of the crowd in every direction, you know you have made a statement.
I am so glad to know I am not alone in this fight. If we took nothing else from the experience, the participants realized two things: we are not an insignificant minority, and the opposition is afraid that we will overturn their agenda.
Senators and Representatives were refusing to speak to us, their aides and staff were pretending to have no idea why we were there, and they were brushing us off as 'those free market people' while bemoaning the inability to change our minds.
This is not an issue of race, or party, it is an issue of individual liberty. We are fed up with government, and resent the advantage our representatives have taken over our need to provide for our families and trust them to manage our country. This didn't happen in November, it started over a hundred years ago and built in ways unnoticed. We are frightening those in power because we are confronting them to their faces, rather than manipulating them and working deals in back rooms. America is at a turning point, and I am proud to have been a part of this historic event.
For those of you interested in more first hand accounts and political art for Liberty and America, please visit www.machinepolitick.com and my blog.
I challenge all of you to become active and make this country what it is meant to be, rather than what it is. Good luck in your efforts, and resist the temptation of complacency.machinepolitickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02869834497906422383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515877107646504253.post-76288794555977891072009-09-13T08:16:15.089-04:002009-09-13T08:16:15.089-04:00You might want to check that again. You make me feel good tonight with your positive comments and pix.
I only hope that America is planning NOW to field their conservative, honest candidates to take the place of the Dims traitors in Congress, because it's never too early to think about this the next vote cycle.

Tom S
tschuckman@aol.comHeli gunner Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04793588674806453096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515877107646504253.post-83516878650376861502009-09-12T23:38:02.123-04:002009-09-12T23:38:02.123-04:00I'm happy to see this post, and the numbers on...I'm happy to see this post, and the numbers on the march!Slapinionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05529719175797428220noreply@blogger.com
