ANOTHER OF OBAMA'S CLASSY FRIENDS

A victim of one the WEATHER UNDERGROUND's bombing attacks talks about it and President Obama's relationship with WILLIAM "BILL" AYERS who ordered the attack on this man's home.

Obama can deny his knowledge of Ayers' activities in the past all he wants to, but he knows now and still maintains his association with this man. Ayers to this day does not regret his terrorist activities.

If this had been Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, or Ron Paul instead of Obama, we would have been hearing this non-stop twenty-four hours a day in 2008 and now.

EVER WONDER ABOUT OBAMA VOTERS?

My wife found the following video which is quite a revelation on how the leftist news sources in this country such as CNN and NPR keep their listeners and viewers in the dark.  This video is a short poll showing how uninformed Obama voters were during the 2008 elections, and none of them could recognize key Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.  Keep in mind these people voted . . . for Obama . . . no surprise there.

LIBERAL DEMOCRATS WANT SOCIALIST AMERICA - ONE OF THEM SAID IT!

We have here just one more bit of proof of how the liberal Democrats want to turn America into a socialist country with the government running private enterprise.  Here's more proof using my favorite method, straight from the proverbial horse's mouth.

SAME OLD LEFTIST RACE CARD AGAIN

It looks like the left, after all of these years, would add SOMETHING else to the Liberal Playbook so it would at least make it more interesting to the other 80% of the population (SOURCE).

THE LEFT'S LATEST POLITICAL TACTIC

This is an excellent ARTICLE posted on the American Thinker website on July 6, 2011.  It exposes the devisiveness of the liberal left and their latest tactic they tested in Wisconsin recently.

Democrats Unveil the Weapon of the Future

What do the political battles in Wisconsin and the Spanish Civil War have in common?  A disturbing characteristic.

The Spanish Civil War is one of those events that are on the way to becoming forgotten history.  The term “civil war” is a bit misleading, since the conflict internationalized itself in short order, with Hitler and Mussolini lining up with the rebels, or “Nationalists”, and Stalin backing the “Republicans” (actually a motley gaggle of various left-wing elements). The dictatorships utilized Spain as a proving ground for new tactics and weapons, including the Me-109, fighter-bomber, the Ju-87 Stuka dive bomber, along with Rotte fighter tactics and area bombing raids, such as that carried out against Guernica.  The war ended in 1939 with the defeat of the Republicans, even as World War II was looming. The Germans learned quite a lot in Spain that they applied to the Blitzkrieg campaigns against Poland and France. (Uncle Joe might have picked up a few things if he hadn’t decided to have most of the officers sent to Spain shot on their return.)

Something similar, though on a much lower key (no massacres or bombing raids yet) has been occurring in Wisconsin over the past few months: a nearly open civil war instigated by the left in order to test an array of new tactics.

Last February, newly-elected governor Scott Walker signed a budget containing minor reforms aimed at the public-employees unions. Union members would be required to pay small amounts into their pension and health-care funds. Collective bargaining was curtailed on this and other matters in order to assure that these reforms would remain permanent.

Wisconsin’s civil war started then and there. The Democratic senators fled the state to deprive Walker of a quorum. Shortly afterward, tens of thousands of union members — many imported from out of state — laid siege to the capitol. They remained for weeks, engaging in vandalism, menacing state officials, and uttering death threats against anyone voting in favor of the reforms.

The bill was finally passed thanks to a clever parliamentary maneuver, only to be set aside by Maryann Sumi, a county judge attempting to punch well above her weight, on procedural grounds.  It developed that Judge Sumi was closely entwined with the unions through family connections.

At the same time a campaign to recall Republicans who had voted for Walker’s budget was put into motion. (A smaller number of the Democrats who fled were also targeted.) These recall elections are still overhanging the senators.

With the bill headed for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the left next targeted an ordinary state Supreme Court election, importing hundreds of thousands of dollars in an effort to defeat incumbent David Prosser, a centrist conservative, in favor of Joanne Kloppenberg.  Thanks to a comically inept local election official, it seemed at first that they had succeeded, but when the smoke cleared, Prosser had won by a healthy 7,000 votes.

And finally, we have the latest purported incident, in which we are asked to believe that Justice Prosser, in the midst of a discussion in the chambers of his liberal opposite number Ann Walsh Bradley, suddenly and apropos of nothing bounded across the room and attempted to strangle her in front of most of the other justices. The man is even worse than Clarence Thomas.

This is an extraordinary series of events, of a type that we haven’t witnessed before. Even more singular is the legacy media’s insistence on covering the story (with the exception of the siege of Madison, which got the standard “unions unbound” treatment) as if it were commonplace to the point of boredom.  It is no such thing; it is an ideological campaign of a magnitude and breadth that we have not seen in quite some time, if ever.

What all this amounts to is the baptism of fire of what I have taken to calling the “liberal superstructure.”  This superstructure is the vast constellation of advocacy groups, think tanks, single-issue outfits, unions, and various other flotsam constructed by the left over the past half-century or so. There are literally thousands of these groups, ranging from the ACLU and the Sierra Club with their hundreds of thousands of members to the local “Friends of the People’s Venezuela” outfit which amounts to a retired feminism professor and her six cats. These organizations are ubiquitous, universal, and networked to a fare-thee- well. They are also liberalism’s last great hope of controlling politics in the United States.
I
t’s scarcely arguable that, in the political sense, liberalism is on the ropes. Obama spent their last nickel. They have lost the House and will lose the Senate, with little chance of regaining them in the near future. The same is true of the White House once the messiah gets the bum’s rush come 2012. Liberalism is on the skids, its programs uniform failures, its ideology barren, its slogans worn out, its long hold on the independents being relentlessly pared down by the Tea Parties.

So what is a political movement to do, particularly one as fanatic and apocalyptic as this one?  Well, if you have an alternate system made up of outside organizations not subject to governmental oversight, a system populated with self-selected fanatics and true believers, a system poised and ready to march, you can do what was done in Wisconsin. You can turn the superstructure loose to threaten the public peace, smash things up, abuse the electoral process, create a media spectacle, and pressure the state to do things your way.  You can use nonpolitical organizations (in the electoral sense) to get a political result.

All the groups involved in the Wisconsin campaign were superstructure groups. The unions, the very core organizations of the superstructure, without which it’s no more than a pack of vegetarians and aging hippies. The media, which serves as its propaganda arm. And the judiciary, which is broadly infiltrated by leftist partisans whose allegiance has been awarded to something other than the law.

But it’s when we review the Prosser accusations that the picture attains clarity. According to Byron York,  the story (which had been held back for nearly two weeks) was first reported by the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism working with Wisconsin Public Radio.  (Two guesses as to which end of the spectrum they lean toward.) The Prosser story was billed as the result of a project funded by the Open Society Institute to enlighten the public about Wisconsin government.

The report was picked up by ThinkProgress, the strike force for the Center for American Progress, which both tweeted and posted the story, as well as calling for Justice Prosser’s ouster.

The interesting thing here is that the Open Society and the Center for American Progress are the flagship organizations of the liberal superstructure, the outfits that call the shots, handle the funding, and coordinate efforts. They are also funded by Old Spooky himself, George Soros. The left rolled out their big units for this effort. Why?  To wreck the career of a junior state Supreme Court justice?  To take control of the Dairy State?   Perhaps so, but I believe it was also in hopes of testing out the superstructure as a political delivery system in a relatively closed environment.

If that’s the case, they’ll need to reevaluate, because the effort has blown up in their faces. Take a closer look at the Prosser accusation, which fell apart as soon as a little basic reporting  was carried out. Almost every point made in the story released by the Soros groups turned out to be false:
  • Prosser was not inside the room, but standing in the doorway — no minor point considering how matters developed.
  • He had made a heat-of-the-moment remark about Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson after being put on the spot concerning an overdue decision. Prosser had agreed to delay the decision to avoid an appearance of undue haste, only to hear the chief justice announce another delay on no grounds whatsoever. This prompted Prosser to state that he had “lost confidence” in Abrahamson. (What was the decision, you ask? Why, the one dealing with Judge Sumi’s interference with Governor Walker’s budget. Funny how this all dovetails, ain’t it?)
At which point Justice Bradley attacked Prosser, fists flailing — not the other way around.
  • Justice Prosser fended her off, perhaps grazing her neck in the process. Bradley started screaming that he was choking her. Another justice stated, “You were not choked.”
This is quite a different scenario, with Justice Prosser coming out more as victim than perpetrator.  No wonder the legacy media refused to touch it, instead choosing to await an official report.  It seems that that Spooky George’s money was wasted this time around.  But that’s the case with a lot of things he gets involved with — consider Project Obama for another example.

The superstructure’s debut as a political weapon has been less than impressive. It failed to overawe the Wisconsin state senate. It failed to halt Gov. Walker’s bill. It failed to vote Justice Prosser out of office, and it has now failed to enmesh him in a faked criminal incident. All that remains is the recall efforts, and they will likely be an overall failure too.

So there will be no liberal Blitzkrieg coming out of the Wisconsin civil war. But these are early days, and this is the first effort to utilize this enormous and complex system. It remains pregnant with possibilities, with its millions of members and effectively infinite levels of funding.  It is also the only thing that the liberals have left.  We will encounter it again, perhaps in a more liberal-friendly environment in the Northeast or on the West coast.

Along with the first major defeat of the public-employee unions, Wisconsin may have given us a clear warning of an emerging threat from the left.  Not a particularly impressive threat, as yet, but a threat all the same, and one that deserves closer attention than it has gotten.

NOW THEY WANT TO TAX WHAT????

This has to be the most insane tax proposal since taxing rainwater became popular a few years ago with state and local governments.  Now, Washington wants to levy a tax on the miles you drive.

That's right, under this proposal, a device would be installed on your car that would record the number of miles you drive.  When you visit the gas station, the tax would be paid electronically there as the gas station would have equipment to read how many miles you had driven.  The Congressional Budget Office refers to it as a Vehicle Miles Traveled tax.  In March of this year, the CBO supported it as a way for our out of control Federal government to dig even deeper into our pockets and keep on with their obscene spending.

Senate Budget Committee Chairman KENT CONRAD, Democrat (of course) from North Dakota, has asked for the report and has proposed this tax as a way to raise more Federal highway revenues.  If this passes, states that depend heavily on tourism traffic such as Florida can kiss their state economies good-bye.

What free country? Obama wants to track your car mileage

Rick Moran

This idea was floated last year but the reaction to it was so negative it disappeared.

But with the deficit and debt climbing, Washington is desperate for extra cash to spend, so it is apparently being revived. In essence, the government wants to slap a a special tracking device in your car that would record the mileage you use, and then tax it. You'd pay the tax when you fill up at gas stations who also, we would assume, have special equipment to read the mileage on the device in your car.

And if gas stations can read it, so can the government. And then there's the question of what other gizmos they might put in that device. GPS? Why not? Who's going to stop them?

The Obama administration denies that they are in favor of this, but several lawmakers have suggested it, as has the CBO. The Hill:

The Obama administration has floated a transportation authorization bill that would require the study and implementation of a plan to tax automobile drivers based on how many miles they drive.

The plan is a part of the administration's "Transportation Opportunities Act," an undated draft of which was obtained this week by Transportation Weekly.

The more innocuous sounding the title of the bill, the more a threat to American liberty.
March Congressional Budget Office report that supported the idea of taxing drivers based on miles driven.
Among other things, CBO suggested that a vehicle miles traveled (VMT) tax could be tracked by installing electronic equipment on each car to determine how many miles were driven; payment could take place electronically at filling stations.
The CBO report was requested by Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad (D-ND), who has proposed taxing cars by the mile as a way to increase federal highway revenues.
Obama's proposal seems to follow up on that idea in section 2218 of the draft bill. That section would create, within the Federal Highway Administration, a Surface Transportation Revenue Alternatives Office. It would be tasked with creating a "study framework that defines the functionality of a mileage-based user fee system and other systems."
The marriage of technology and injudicious taxes is a marriage made in hell.

MORE LEFTIST VIOLENCE

This incident occurred on September 23, 2010. A citizen was assaulted for refusing to stop filming during a speech by Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Kitzhaber at the EMMANUEL TEMPLE CHURCH in Portland, Oregon.  The event was a citzen forum where the public was invited.  Watch the intimidation tactics before the assault.  Watch the reaction of "Charles McC" when faced with someone who doesn't back down from the bullying.  They resort to one of the things for which the liberal left has been known for decades - physical violence.

Even though the event took place in a church which is private property, it was a public event with a public figure.  In that case, people can't be told not to photograph or record.  Public events are just that - public.  The press and anyone else can attend, record, and photograph without having to ask permission.

Nevertheless, there is no excuse for assaulting someone under these circumstances.  Shoulda gone to jail? Yep, shoulda.  Will they? Nope.

THE EVER SO "TOLERANT" LEFT

Ted Strickland is up for re-election as Governor of Ohio. Governor Strickland recently went on a tirade claiming the Republican Party has been taken over by Tea Party radicals and extremists.  THAT'S "tolerance" if I ever heard it!  Hear for yourself.

So here is a Republican staffer and Iraq war veteran, Clayton Henson, who was videotaping Governor Strickland's speech at a campaign event in Lucasville, Ohio.  A Strickland supporter poured hot coffee down his back and then made obscene gestures towards Mr. Henson as he walked away.

This lefty is not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer.  Caught on camera, very nice and clear shot of his face for all to see.  I'm glad Mr. Henson kept his composure enough to get this character's face on film.

It's very interesting the only incidents of violence against those who hold a different political ideology are perpetrated by liberal leftists.  We all know that if there was any incident of a leftist being physically assaulted by a conservative, it would be on every news service in the country for days, maybe even weeks.  It seems these incidents are becoming more frequent.

If you know who this individual is or have seen him, please call the Scioto County, Ohio Sheriff's Department at (740) 497-1120.  Feel free to share this with everyone so we can hopefully put this guy behind bars where he belongs.

A REAL HEALTHCARE REFORM PROPOSAL

Here is a woman who is a small business owner at a California town hall meeting with the best plan for true healthcare reform without the Marxism.  She is addressing U. S. REPRESENTATIVE LYNN WOOLSEY, D-California.

I said this in a previous post here.  It is absolutely ludicrous that we can buy a car, a house, a TV, or whatever in another state, but are not allowed, BY FEDERAL LAW, to purchase health insurance from a company outside of the state where we live.  In California, this small business owner can only choose from six insurance companies for healthcare plans, with over 1,300 health insurance companies nationally.  This was not even considered much less taken action on during the Obamacare debates in Congress.  Want to see your health insurance rates come way down?  Do away with this idiotic Federal law.  It would be like Wal-mart moving to your town.  Everyone else would have to lower their prices to compete or go out of business. I wonder what the payoff is to the Washington politicians by leaving this law in place?  You know there has to be one.  They don't do anything that doesn't benefit them.

MEDIA BLINDNESS

Ever notice when a non-Democrat politician is accused of wrong-doing, his or her party affiliation is always included, but when it's a Democrat, it's mostly omitted? Listen closer to the television news and give a closer look at newspaper articles. A Democrat's party affiliation is left out more times than not.

In the greatest party-affiliation cover-up since the media tried to portray Gary Condit as a Republican, the media are refusing to mention the party affiliation of the thieving government officials in Bell, Calif.

There have been hundreds of news stories about Bell city officials' jaw-dropping salaries. In this poor city on the outskirts of Los Angeles, where the per capita annual income is $24,800 a year, the city manager, Robert Rizzo, had a salary of $787,637.

That's about twice what the president of the United States makes. (To be fair, Rizzo was doing a better job.)

Rizzo was the highest-paid government employee in the entire country, not counting Maxine Waters' husband -- pending further revelations. With benefits, his total annual compensation, according to the Los Angeles Times, came to $1.5 million a year.

Alerted to the Bell situation, the White House quickly added the Bell city manager to the list of jobs saved by its stimulus plan.

Not only that, but Rizzo was entitled to 28 weeks off a year for vacation and sick leave. To put that in perspective, that's almost as much vacation time as public school teachers get!

Reached in Spain, even Michelle Obama was outraged.

Rizzo responded to the anger over his preposterous salary by saying: "If that's a number people choke on, maybe I'm in the wrong business. I could go into private business and make that money."

(If he wants to grab one of those private-sector jobs that pays $1.5 million for 24 weeks of work, may I suggest the entertainment industry?)

Good luck to him. After leaving Bell, Rizzo will be lucky to land a job at Taco Bell. Before being anointed the King Tut of Bell, Rizzo was the city manager of Hesperia, Calif., where he was overpaid only to the tune of $78,000 a year.

The police chief, Randy Adams, was making $457,000 -- $770,046 including benefits. The assistant city manager, Angela Spaccia, had a $376,288 salary, with a total compensation package of $845,960. Being just an assistant city manager, Angela had to pay for her own yacht.

After the Los Angeles Times reported the stratospheric government salaries in little Bell, and the people of the town revolted, the millionaire government employees all resigned.

That'll show 'em! Oops, except upon their resignations, they qualified for lifetime pensions worth, by some estimates, more than $50 million.

These insane salary packages were granted by the mayor and four city council members -- who also set their own salaries. As a result, all but one was making $100,000 a year for these part-time jobs. After the council members' salaries came to light, the four looters cut their salaries by 90 percent.

According to Nexis, there have been more than 300 news stories reporting on the Bell scandal. Guess how many mentioned the party affiliation of the corrupt government bureaucrats?

One. Yes, just one. Now guess if the government officials were Democrats or Republicans? Yes, that is correct.

Congratulations -- you've qualified for our bonus round!

The one newspaper to cough up party affiliations, The Orange County Register, admitted that the corrupt officials were all Democrats only in response to reader complaints about the peculiar omission.

Lots of news stories on the scandal in Bell used the word "Democrat" or "Democratic." But that was only to say that the DEMOCRATIC attorney general of California, Jerry Brown, who is running on the DEMOCRATIC ticket for governor, is investigating the Bell officials' salaries.

So we know the media are aware of party affiliations. They just chose not to mention it when it would require them to identify shockingly corrupt government officials as Democrats.

Any day now, the media will start describing Maxine Waters as "the light-skinned congresswoman from California."

(But you might want to vote for that DEMOCRATIC attorney general who is apparently a great crusader against corruption ... despite his years of ignoring the public employee salary and pension looting that has driven the state into insolvency.)

Maybe Obama's Czar of City Managers' Salaries could investigate this.

Unlike political corruption involving sex or bribery, the outrage in Bell isn't a scandal that hits both parties from time to time -- it's how the Democrats govern.

Elected Democratic officials bestow ludicrous salaries and benefits packages on government employees, and, in return, public employee unions make sure the Democrats keep getting re-elected.

The scandal in Bell isn't a scandal at all for the Democrats. Au contraire! This is the governing strategy of the Democratic Party.

VOTER FRAUD ALIVE AND WELL

Stealing elections!
Democrat Voter Fraud is Far More Widespread Than You Think

By Fred Dardick Wednesday, July 14, 2010

Last week I wrote an article titled How Obama Used an Army of Thugs to Steal the 2008 Democratic Primary that introduced the conservative community to the movie “We Will Not Be Silenced”, made by Democrat activist Gigi Gaston two years ago. Her video documented widespread voter fraud committed by Obama supporters during the 2008 Democratic primary election to secure the nomination for Obama over the popular vote winner Hillary Clinton.

The story went viral and 24 hours later Fox News asked Gaston to appear on the Sunday morning program Fox and Friends. For the first time many Americans saw for themselves first hand accounts from Democrats who personally witnessed “the disenfranchising of American citizens by the Democratic Party and the Obama Campaign.”

As explained on the We Will Not Be Silenced website, “‘Change’ from Chicago encouraged and created an army to steal caucus packets, falsify documents, change results, allow unregistered people to vote, scare and intimidate Hillary supporters, stalk them, threaten them, lock them out of their polling places, silence their voices and stop their right to vote.”

Because of the program and other recent events concerning voter intimidation, including the Black Panther incident in Philadelphia and testimony from J. Christian Adams on the Department of Justice’s unwillingness to pursue voter related crimes committed by African Americans, people around the country are finally waking up to the fact that Democrat voter fraud is a far, far bigger problem than anyone had ever realized.

Some conservatives have mistakenly interpreted these events as only affecting Democratic primaries and aren’t concerned about the possibility of vote theft in a general election.
But they would be wrong.

While the voter fraud documented in Gaston’s film primarily involves Democratic caucuses, the bigger story here isn’t a single primary, but the bag of tricks that Democrats use to influence elections of all kinds.

Earlier in the week Fox News ran a story showing how illegal votes by felons in Minnesota were enough for Democrat Al Franken to beat Republican candidate Norm Coleman and claim the Senate seat.

Millions had voted in the Minnesota election, but at the end of the day all it took was 341 criminals to disenfranchise an entire state.

How to Steal an Election
What we are seeing is the transplantation of Chicago politics to communities throughout the nation that are completely unprepared for the level of fraud and intimidation that can be generated by thousands of unethical Democrats, including private citizens, local, state, and federal officials, and politicians, convinced that breaking the law is okay as long as the “right” candidate wins.

On July 6, American Thinker published an article by Lee Cary about an interview with a Chicago political machine insider. It contained the following warning:

“In Chicago, the Precinct Captains watch to see who votes and who doesn’t. Then, at the end of the day, others will cast votes for those who haven’t shown up to vote, all under the direction of the Precinct Captain. If the actual voter shows up later, they’re given someone else’s card. The Republican poll watchers don’t stop this. Hell, most of them are actually Democrats.”

The Democrat Voter Fraud Playbook is as follows:

1. ACORN registers the names, legitimate or not.
2. Black Panther, SEIU and other “community organizer” groups intimidate people, especially minorities, from voting Republican.
3. Voter lists remain unscrubbed of felons, dead people, and illegal immigrants.
4. On Election Day, precinct workers submit any unused ballots for Democrat candidates.
5. Democrat officials and politicians pretend like nothing happened.

It’s as easy as that to steal an election.

An Army of Republican Poll Watchers Will Be Needed this November
The voter fraud stories so far are just the tip of a very large iceberg. No one really knows the full extent of the problem and the Democratic Party is counting on Americans to shrug it off as just another conservative conspiracy theory.

But take it from a lifelong Chicagoan, it’s not just Bosnia that needs election observers to keep voter fraud in check.

The dropping of voter intimidation charges by Department of Justice political appointees against billy club wielding Black Panthers sends the message to the Democrat community that mass voter fraud can continue without fear of legal reprisal.

Justice officials know full well that if they were to start digging around this Pandora’s Box of fraud, many influential Democratic organizations (especially ACORN) and politicians will be implicated. So they go straight to Step #5 from above and pretend like there’s nothing to see.

While the problem may be substantial, there is one way Republicans can fight back: Keep a close eye on voting locations. Election fraud only works if citizens remain ignorant to the problem and unwilling to become involved in the voting process.

Considering the importance of the upcoming November elections, an army of Republican poll watchers, especially in minority neighborhoods which are often treated like never ending vote generating machines by unscrupulous Democrat politicians, will be needed to prevent liberals from once again stuffing ballot boxes and gaming the system.

OBAMA "THE FIXER"

This news is about two months old, but I haven't had much time lately to research this. But not all of it's old news. The pattern with this administration continues.
During the Pennsylvania primaries earlier this year, Democratic Representative Joe Sestak was running against incumbent Senator Arlen Specter. White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, using Former President Bill Clinton, offered Sestak a bribe in the form of a prominent advisory position within the administration in exchange for Sestak dropping out of the race. According to the New York Times, one of the jobs offered was a position on the PRESIDENT'S INTELLIGENCE ADVISORY BOARD. Click HERE for the New York Times article.

Here's Clinton doing the Washington Ignore the Question Dance:

As you know, Sestak refused, then went on to defeat Specter in the Pennsylvania Senate primary.
Fast forward to June 2010 and a report on Fox News, INTERVENTION IN COLORADO RACE COULD CAST PALL OVER OBAMA TRANSPARENCY MESSAGE. This time it was Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina contacted Colorado House Speaker Andrew Romanoff in the fall of 2009 to determine if Romanoff was still interested in a USAID job for which Romanoff had applied. Even though White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs denied making a job offer ("plausible deniability"), the rest of Messina's inquiry was to determine "if it was possible to avoid a costly battle between two supporters". The latter refers to the White House's attempt to get Romanoff out of the primary race against incumbent Senator Michael Bennet. The Obama administration, by sheer coincidence I'm sure, supported Bennet.

Here's a clip from CBS News' Washington Unplugged with more:

According to the accompanying article to the video, ANDREW ROMANOFF BREAKS SILENCE ON WHITE HOUSE JOB TALKS, Messina told Romanoff that the administration would support his opponent, and three White House positions might be available if Romanoff were not in the Senate race. When Romanoff refused, no one in the White House communicated with him again.
There is obviously a pattern here. I wonder just how much of this is going on with this "transparent" administration that we don't know about because the players involved are keeping quiet. "Change"? Not so much. Same as always, business as usual, no real "change". Not surprising though judging from Obama's track record.

WHO ARE YOU?

Here is a video of one of Congress's finest at his best, at least when asked about his stand on an issue.

As you can see, Representative Etheridge went totally off his nut when one of us "commoners" dared ask him a question. I don't recall seeing anywhere in the Constitution or Federal law that requires us to show an elected official any identification to ask them a question. This is a classic example of the Democrats' elitist attitude towards those for whom they work.

My response to Representative Etheridge, D-NC, is this: Just who are YOU to question on of US when WE want to know how you stand on a particular issue? Here's a high school civics lesson for you Mr. Etheridge: WE THE PEOPLE vote and elect you. You represent US and carry out the WILL OF THE PEOPLE. Therefore, WE are YOUR boss, NOT the other way around.

This one incident is enough to vote him out. Voters in Etheridge's district in North Carolina, which is the Second District, vote him out. In case you don't know if you are in Etheridge's district or not, the Second Congressional District includes all or part of Chatham, Cumberland, Franklin, Harnett, Johnston, Lee, Nash, Sampson, Vance, and Wake Counties.

Someone with this attitude and reacting with violence to someone asking him a simple question (in this case, college students doing a class project), is certainly not level-headed enough to carry out this country's business, especially matters of national security. Again, North Carolina voters, get this man out of office. There is absolutely no justification or excuse for this kind of behavior for any elected official from dog catcher up to Washington. Mr. Etheridge is too hot-headed to be entrusted with a Congressional seat. North Carolina voters should fire him.

Oh by the way voters, what was the question? Mr. Etheridge was asked if he fully supported the Obama agenda. Guess he doesn't want you to know, but his reaction is your answer.

ANOTHER SNEAK ATTACK

True to form for this administration and Congress, when there is on overload of attention given to pending legislation debate such as the Crap and Tax Disaster bill, always be on your guard. Ever since Obama took office, when there is a major debate on something in Congress in which there is an overload of media attention, there is always some other legislation being slipped through in the shadows. The media hoopla generated by Washington has been nothing more than a distraction to keep our attention off other things they know the majority of Americans will oppose.

This time, it's H.R. 2499, the Puerto Rico Democracy Act of 2009. The bill was introduced in May 2009, and has been in the House Natural Resources committee ever since. But, according to Majority Leader STENY HOYER, the House will vote on this bill later this week. (SOURCE)

There are a few problems with this. The first thing is that Puerto Rico doesn't want it. This has been attempted for years and years unsuccessfully. This legislation will force the will of Washington on the will of the people of Puerto Rico. We can certainly relate. If passed, Puerto Rico would be forced to have a referendum on statehood every eight years. If the majority vote against it, then there would have to be a second vote with the only choices as full independence from the U.S. or statehood. Since Puerto Rico can't economically afford full independence, can you say "rigged?"

And just in case someone compares this to Alaska and Hawaii. Territories such as Alaska and Hawaii have only been granted statehood when there was overwhelming support among the population of those territories for it. Puerto Rico has no such support for statehood. I do not think it would be a good idea at all to grant statehood t0 a territory where there is not strong support for it.

If Puerto Rico becomes a state, there will be billions, if not trillions, of dollars poured into it to bring everything such as power generating plants and sewerage treatment into compliance with U.S. laws and regulations. And, since Puerto Rico is such an impoverished nation with the average resident's income being less than half of the poorest state in the U.S., the entire population of nearly four million would be instantly eligible for all welfare entitlements including Obamacare. Like Obamacare, we simply cannot afford this. This would balloon our deficit even further out of control. I can foresee billions going into Puerto Rico with little or no accountability. It's not like it hasn't happened before.

I think the last point is the real impetus. The Democrats are hoping to create a four million strong voting block, thinking the people of Puerto Rico would vote Democratic to keep the handouts coming. Puerto Rico's representation in Washington would be greater than half of the states here potentially locking up a Democrat majority. If this is true, such a plan could easily backfire. The current governor or Puerto Rico, Luis Fortuno, identified as a Republican when he served as Resident Commissioner in the U. S. House of Representatives from 2005 to 2009.
The Democrats are still trying to do all the damage they can before November. They see the polls, they know if the mid-term elections were held today, all Democratic incumbents would be packing their bags. numbers have held since last year and are not expected to change. So the big push to further their agenda as much as possible is definitely on.

Just one more reminder that when there's a lot of attention about something that's being debated in Congress, look behind them to see what's REALLY going on.

The Democrats are in big trouble and that's why they, along with the Obama administration, are in such a rush to do as much damage as possible with no regard for the will of the people. They all know in November, it will be over. This administration has dug its own grave politically and are taking many of their fellow Democrats with them. Fortunately, that much of the Constitution hasn't been shredded, and We The People can still fire them when they forget for whom they really work.
