CAN YOU HEAR US NOW?

Today I saw something I thought I would never see. Thousands, no MILLIONS, about 2 Million people according to ABC News and CNN, marching on Washington protesting the government's deficit spending trillions at a time, Obamacare which will eventually eliminate private health insurance, and the resulting higher taxes as if we're not paying enough now. I was very happy to see the turnout, and see the area from the Capitol building all the way to the Washington monument completely filled with Americans who are fed up with the government's reckless spending. I haven't seen anything like that since, I guess since Dr. Martin Luther King was in Washington. News reports stated that the expressways around Washington were closed due to the numbers.
People are fed up and have been for years, but are now fed up enough to push back. The American people are discovering the power they wield as voters and citizens, and they are using it.
If the Democrats in Washington want to keep their jobs, they better listen to us. The potential exists for many of them, along with any RINO's, to be voted out in the midterm elections next year. Americans are sending a message. The message is loud and clear, and definitely represents the majority.
But this administration continues to ignore us. We all heard Obama during his speech to Congress this week make the threat that if anyone disagreed with him, he would call them out. Well, Mr. President, here we are. We're calling your hand.
And don't think the Obama administration isn't in serious panic mode now. The dissention continues to grow. I said it in a previous post, and I'll say it again: WE'RE HERE, AND WE'RE NOT GOING AWAY.
Though today's rally was awesome, we must continue from here and keep fighting. Keep on bombarding your Senators and Representatives as well as the White House. Click HERE to get contact information for The White House and your Senators and Representatives. Tell them you're fed up and you vote!

Hi Dirk,
Beautiful post today! You make me feel good tonight with your positive comments and pix.
I only hope that America is planning NOW to field their conservative, honest candidates to take the place of the Dims traitors in Congress, because it's never too early to think about this the next vote cycle.

And not a thing about it in our paper. Nothing. Can you believe it?

You might want to check that again. Millions? Not quite.

Thanks for raising awareness Dirk. I was there, and it was amazing. I'll let everyone else quibble about the numbers, because that's what they do. Every one of us there represented several more who could not make it. When a British paper reports over a million, you have to lend credence to the claim, because they're hardly on our side. When you cannot see the end of the crowd in every direction, you know you have made a statement.
I am so glad to know I am not alone in this fight. If we took nothing else from the experience, the participants realized two things: we are not an insignificant minority, and the opposition is afraid that we will overturn their agenda.
Senators and Representatives were refusing to speak to us, their aides and staff were pretending to have no idea why we were there, and they were brushing us off as 'those free market people' while bemoaning the inability to change our minds.
This is not an issue of race, or party, it is an issue of individual liberty. We are fed up with government, and resent the advantage our representatives have taken over our need to provide for our families and trust them to manage our country. This didn't happen in November, it started over a hundred years ago and built in ways unnoticed. We are frightening those in power because we are confronting them to their faces, rather than manipulating them and working deals in back rooms. America is at a turning point, and I am proud to have been a part of this historic event.

I challenge all of you to become active and make this country what it is meant to be, rather than what it is. Good luck in your efforts, and resist the temptation of complacency.
