JUDGE SAYS SCHOOL CAN CENSOR FLAG

This ruling came down last November, but this kind of left wingnut insanity needs to kept at the forefront as much as possible, especially since this is election year.

In May 2010, three students at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, California wore American flag t-shirts on the mostly American Cinco-de-Mayo holiday.  The students were told by the assistant principal, who just so happened by sheer coincidence to be Hispanic, to turn their shirts wrong side out or take them off.  The students refused stating it would be disrespectful to the American flag.  This same assistant principal then sent the students to the office where he lectured them about Cinco-de-Mayo and that their shirts might offend Hispanic students on their day.  THEIR day???

Lawsuits were filed, and U. S. District Court Judge James Ware ruled the school could censor the U. S. flag in the name of "school safety".  Kind of sounds like the reasoning the Federal government uses to violate our Constitutional rights as a matter of routine, especially those who are not exactly enamored with the Obama administration's policies.  The judge continued that the school in no way infringed on the students' First Amendment rights.  Really?

All of this over a pseudo-Mexican holiday that actually is not a Mexican holiday.  It's not observed nationally there, and is only celebrated in some local areas.  Contrary to popular belief, it is not Mexican Independence Day.  That's in September (SOURCE).

On the next Cinco de Mayo celebration at Live Oak High School, I wonder if the took the American flag off the pole out front, under the guise of "school safety."  

This reminds me of an old saying that was coined in the '60's that I will use a little poetic license and change one word:  "Will the last American leaving California please bring the flag?"

PALESTINIANS: NOT ISRAEL'S DOING

The truth about the Palestinians is that neighboring Arab countries refused to repatriate them by passing discriminatory laws that prevented their return.  This video is only a little over five minutes long.  The information contained in it will never be subject matter in the leftist mainstream media.

We never hear about why the neighboring Arab countries, after sixty years, absolutely refuse to allow these people to return to their countries.  And we won't because the truth does not support the anti-Semitism of the liberal left.

HERE'S THE REAL OCCUPY WALL STREET

This is the Occupy protest in Washington, D.C. Two women, one 78 years old, were pushed down by this group of thugs. Extreme profanity was used in the presence of young children. Many others were attacked. This happened when the Occupy hooligans stormed the Washington Convention Center where the Americans for Prosperity were holding a dinner and tried to get in.

***WARNING*** There is frequent, vulgar, and profane language used by the Occupiers throughout the video from the very beginning.

According to a witness, the 78 year old woman, which was the second woman on the ground in the video, had to be taken to the emergency room.

This is just one of many prime examples for all to see of the difference between the leftists' method of protesting and mainstream America. When the Tea Party has held a rally, there have been no problems, no violence, no clashes with the police from the very beginning. Several million Tea Partiers gathered at the Mall in Washington, D.C. I didn't see pictures for myself, but reporters on the scene said there was not even any trash to pick up afterwards. The Occupy protests on the other hand? Not so much.

After seeing this, it really isn't surprising the Occupy movement is endorsed by such groups as the American Nazi Party. Keep in mind too, that President Obama has publicly given his endorsement of Occupy Wall Street. Since this has become an all too common theme for the Occupy protests, it will be very interesting to see this administration's reaction. My guess is that Obama will be quite silent, hoping this will go away before election year.

HOT NEW FUEL MILEAGE PLAN NOT EVEN LUKEWARM

This ARTICLE appeared on hotair.com on July 16, 2011.  It talks about Obama's new proposed fuel mileage standards that would require vehicles to get 56 miles per gallon by the year 2025.  Kelly Blue Book is quoted here and points out a huge misrepresentation in the plan which concerns how much we would save if we had one of these ultra-high mileage cars (if we could afford it - but that's another subject that the Washington politicians don't really care about).

Last month we took a look at some of the possible side effects of the administration’s proposed, higher fuel efficiency standards in light of the law of unintended consequences. Jumping the gun to guidelines calling for better than fifty miles per gallon vehicles before the science caught up to these desires was already looking pretty dubious. Now, Kelley Blue Book (one of the older names in all things automobile related) has weighed in on the subject and are equally unimpressed.

The typical recounting of the scenario largely goes like this: Federal sources estimate that increasing fuel efficiency to 56 mpg by 2025 will be accomplished at an average cost of $2,100 to $2,600 per vehicle, but the savings resulting from higher fuel economy would save vehicle owners $5,500 to $7,000 over the vehicle’s lifetime. Sounds just fine, doesn’t it? There will be higher initial costs, but they will be a good investment, because car buyers will save money in the end.

But if one looks past the rose-colored predictions of the politicians (from both sides of the aisle, by the way), the picture gets a little cloudier. First, what the previously cited estimates fail to mention is that the typical new-car owner won’t own the car over its entire lifetime, so one has to wonder how interested new-car buyers will be in paying significantly more for their vehicle – and an average of $2,500 is significantly more – for little obvious benefit to their own pocketbooks. (The cynical answer to that is if they want to buy a new car, they won’t have any choice). Given the scenario that has been painted to prepare the way for the approval of the new regulations, owners would break even sometime between two and-a-half and three-and-a-half years of ownership, when many cars are still in their original owners’ hands. But the breakeven point and the accuracy of the entire scenario depend on correctly predicting future fuel prices, which is an iffy prospect at best.

Their conclusions about the Obama administration’s predictions regarding 56 m.p.g. standards are rather harsh, and actually include the phrase, “built on a house of cards.” Other sources we have contacted have been less kind. You can try to force the auto industry to deliver higher mileage cars, but you can’t tell them to take a loss on the sale, so if the needed changes drive the price through the roof, guess who gets handed the bill?

People without jobs are looking to hold on to their cars for longer, and if they must replace them, they’re going to want the best deal possible. The number of unknowns which the White House is trying to juggle shoves this argument into the realm of fantasy. In addition to having to predict the cost of gas, what sort of loan arrangement will the buyer be able to obtain in an uncertain, floundering economy? What will the interest rates be to pay back a larger loan on a more expensive vehicle? All of these factors subtract from any projected savings and simply result in saddling the consumer with a higher price tag.

Before the White House decides to jump this particular shark, they may want to get a few more people involved in the discussion. Maybe somebody for example… oh, I don’t know… who actually designs and builds car engines? Food for thought.

This is just another Obama tactic called avoidance.  The real issue is the freeze on drilling for our own oil right here with a 200 year supply right under our feet.  

Obama has not learned from the past thirty-six years of the Corporate Average Fuel Economy, or C.A.F.E standards.  Since these regulations were passed, our dependence on foreign oil has risen from 40% to 60%.  You absolutely cannot conserve your way out of a problem.  It has worked in over three decades, and it will not work over the next three.  

One thing that Obama doesn't mention (or care about) is the deaths that have occurred that are directly attributable to the C.A.F.E. standards.  Smaller, lighter cars are far less safe due to the lack of sturdy frames and much smaller interior areas that served as "crash zones" in the older larger cars.  American Thinker has an excellent ARTICLE on this subject.  The statistics regarding the increased number of people killed in the name of higher fuel mileage are horrifying.  One example is a finding by USA Today that 7,700 people die in traffic accidents for each mile per gallon gained in fuel economy.

So, is it worth it, or should we drill here? The choice is simple.

MORE LEFTIST VIOLENCE

This incident occurred on September 23, 2010. A citizen was assaulted for refusing to stop filming during a speech by Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Kitzhaber at the EMMANUEL TEMPLE CHURCH in Portland, Oregon.  The event was a citzen forum where the public was invited.  Watch the intimidation tactics before the assault.  Watch the reaction of "Charles McC" when faced with someone who doesn't back down from the bullying.  They resort to one of the things for which the liberal left has been known for decades - physical violence.

Even though the event took place in a church which is private property, it was a public event with a public figure.  In that case, people can't be told not to photograph or record.  Public events are just that - public.  The press and anyone else can attend, record, and photograph without having to ask permission.  

Nevertheless, there is no excuse for assaulting someone under these circumstances.  Shoulda gone to jail? Yep, shoulda.  Will they? Nope.

THE EVER SO "TOLERANT" LEFT

Ted Strickland is up for re-election as Governor of Ohio. Governor Strickland recently went on a tirade claiming the Republican Party has been taken over by Tea Party radicals and extremists.  THAT'S "tolerance" if I ever heard it!  Hear for yourself.

So here is a Republican staffer and Iraq war veteran, Clayton Henson, who was videotaping Governor Strickland's speech at a campaign event in Lucasville, Ohio.  A Strickland supporter poured hot coffee down his back and then made obscene gestures towards Mr. Henson as he walked away.

This lefty is not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer.  Caught on camera, very nice and clear shot of his face for all to see.  I'm glad Mr. Henson kept his composure enough to get this character's face on film.  

It's very interesting the only incidents of violence against those who hold a different political ideology are perpetrated by liberal leftists.  We all know that if there was any incident of a leftist being physically assaulted by a conservative, it would be on every news service in the country for days, maybe even weeks.  It seems these incidents are becoming more frequent.

LEFTISTS CAUGHT AGAIN!

Here are a couple of videos of more left wingnuts trying to infiltrate the Tea Party to try to make it appear something it is not.  If they were a football team, they would be clobbered in the first quarter with just that one play in their playbook.  This took place at the ST. LOUIS RALLY on September 12, 2010.










Following is an example of the Tea Party policing itself when a Tea Party supporter does show up with offensive or putting forth ideas not in line with Tea Party ideals.  This gentleman had a sign that compared Obama with Adolf Hitler.

THE LEFT LEFT

Black protestors at the Restoring Honor Rally in Washington, D.C. ran into some of Al Sharpton's crowd from his Reclaiming the Dream March on August 28, 2010. The Sharpton protestors were holding signs claiming the mythical Tea Party racism. When confronted with the truth, watch the reaction of the leftists.  If you ever get into a debate with a liberal, this is the way to do it . . . with facts.  You will notice in this video that the liberals have no facts whatsoever to rebut what this young woman stated. Ultimately, the Sharpton crowd just turned and left.  Liberalism always fails in the face of facts.

 All I can say is, the leftists sure picked the wrong one to tangle with this time!

CAREFUL - WHAT'S IN YOUR COFFEE?

There's a movement underway that reportedly started on Facebook. It is an obvious attempt at countering the Tea Party Movement although they are trying to attach themselves to the Tea Party Movement. They call themselves the COFFEE PARTY. When I noticed several people on my Facebook friends list who are conservatives listed as "liking" their Facebook page, I felt compelled to warn fellow conservatives about this very deceptive group.

The left has found out that direct opposition to the Tea Party Movement along with the very "tolerant" name-calling that includes some pornographic references has not worked. The Tea Party Movement has continued to grow rapidly as the majority of Americans are fed up with big government and the Washington system. The Tea Party Movement has transcended political ideologies, party affiliations, and all walks of life. The Republicans thought they saw a huge political opportunity and tried to attach themselves to it. The Tea Party, or rather, fellow citizens more or less told them, "Uh, no, some of y'all need to go too."

In order to see through the Coffee Party movement, let's start with the founder, Annabel Park. First, Ms. Park actively campaigned for Barack Obama in 2008. She was one of the founders of the YouTube channel UNITED FOR OBAMA. That alone seems to be incongruous with the statement Ms. Park made to the New York Times, "We're not the opposite of the Tea Party . . ." Since Obama was the most radically left of all the Senators, including Ted Kennedy, just the fact she is an ardent Obama supporter would in and of itself indicate she opposes the Tea Party.

Next, let's look at their website and see for what they stand. When the INFO tab is clicked, the first thing that is noticed is that many of the articles' referenced are from MEDIA MATTERS, a radically left political website. The Coffee Party supports government takeover of the nation's healthcare system, legalization of illegal immigrants already in the U.S., sides with the handful of scientists who espouse climate change (some of whom have been discredited for suspected tampering with climate data to "prove" global warming), believes the Democrats and the Obama administration have not been fiscally irresponsible, supports Obama's policies on terrorism, and attacks Sarah Palin.

"We're not the opposite of the Tea Party," Ms. Park told the New York times. "We're a different model of civic participation, but in the end we may want some of the same things."

"We need to roll up our sleeves, put our heads together and work it out."

Sounds good, doesn't it? Sounds like she wants to bring liberals and conservatives together to bring about positive change in Washington, doesn't it? Well, if you're still not convinced, check out some of Ms. Park's Twitter tweets:

Don't be fooled by this. It's simply another attempt by the radical left to regain their political stature. They know they are in big trouble and this November will be just the beginning. Voters do not seem to have the short memories of days past.

CAN YOU HEAR US NOW?

Today I saw something I thought I would never see. Thousands, no MILLIONS, about 2 Million people according to ABC News and CNN, marching on Washington protesting the government's deficit spending trillions at a time, Obamacare which will eventually eliminate private health insurance, and the resulting higher taxes as if we're not paying enough now. I was very happy to see the turnout, and see the area from the Capitol building all the way to the Washington monument completely filled with Americans who are fed up with the government's reckless spending. I haven't seen anything like that since, I guess since Dr. Martin Luther King was in Washington. News reports stated that the expressways around Washington were closed due to the numbers.

People are fed up and have been for years, but are now fed up enough to push back. The American people are discovering the power they wield as voters and citizens, and they are using it.

If the Democrats in Washington want to keep their jobs, they better listen to us. The potential exists for many of them, along with any RINO's, to be voted out in the midterm elections next year. Americans are sending a message. The message is loud and clear, and definitely represents the majority.

But this administration continues to ignore us. We all heard Obama during his speech to Congress this week make the threat that if anyone disagreed with him, he would call them out. Well, Mr. President, here we are. We're calling your hand.

And don't think the Obama administration isn't in serious panic mode now. The dissention continues to grow. I said it in a previous post, and I'll say it again: WE'RE HERE, AND WE'RE NOT GOING AWAY.
