'BOUT TIME TO FIRE 'EM ALL!

Pay particular attention to what he says starting at 3:05. Very true.

THE FIGHT ISN'T OVER

Now that the mid-term elections are over, I think there are many who think the work is done now that most of the incumbent Democrats have been voted out.  This was the biggest shift in political power since the '30's.  Yes, this was a major victory for mainstream America and the death knell for Obama's socialist agenda.  We The People sent a very loud and clear message that we want the current policies of runaway deficit spending and the push for a Socialist America to stop.

But the work isn't done, and we can't afford to sit back and relax now.  Instead, we should ramp up our efforts and keep the pressure on.  I have been telling people for months that if the incumbent Democrats are voted out, then the Obama administration and other left wingnut Democrats in Congress would try to do as much damage as possible before the newly elected Congress people take office in January 2011.

Now, here it is.  According to an ARTICLE in the Huffington Post that appeared October 29, 2010, Senate Temporarily-Majority Leader Harry Reid said he would bring the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act up for a vote in the Senate after the November elections regardless of whether or not the Dems kept their majority or not.  I think what he was really saying was what I said: do as much damage as possible before his leftist cronies leave office.  Senator Reid, like the rest of us, knew months ahead of time there was going to be a huge shift in political power after the mid-terms that would result in the left losing control of Congress.

What the DREAM Act says in a nutshell (pun intended) is that a child that enters the U. S. ***illegally*** and has been here for at least five years cannot be denied higher education (taxpayer funded) benefits  and the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security could stop the deportation process of a qualifying illegal alien if they are enrolled in college.  You can just imagine the fraud possibilities there to get around Federal law - enroll in 1 class, nothing in the DREAM act says they have to be attending, get to stay here after breaking the law to get here.  Nice. (SOURCE)

Now we have the Senate passage of S. 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act.  The way this bill is WORDED, the main thing that will be in danger in the immediate future will be the food co-ops and the Amish.  As I have posted about before, the Federal government and some state governments have been attacking food co-ops and the Amish. Down the road, one person with the FDA has the power to issue new regulations without Congressional (We The People's) approval.

Two Georgia senators, SENATOR SAXBY CHAMBLISS and SENATOR JOHNNY ISAKSON helped write the original legislation. So, my wife wrote to Senator Isakson and I wrote to Senator Chambliss.  They both wrote back and interestingly enough voted against the final passage of the bill.  They both responded that the way the bill was originally written, it was to improve the FDA's ability to ensure food safety.

Here is what Senator Isakson said which is basically what Senator Chambliss said too:

"On November 30, 2010, S.510, the Food Safety Modernization Act, passed the Senate by a vote of 73-25.  While I was an original cosponsor of S.510, I voted against final passage of the Senate bill.  In several last minute changes made behind closed doors, Senate Democrats added numerous costs, and numerous new regulations that will require more government employees and a lot more government intervention.  To add insult to injury, Senators were then denied the opportunity to offer amendments to improve the bill during the debate on the Senate floor.  In essence, the modified bill was no longer a good piece of legislation."

They both also expressed concerns about not having "an open and transparent conference with the House of Representatives before the final bill is sent to the President for his signature."

"Behind closed doors" . . . sound familiar? That's been going on with the Democratic majority in this Congress since Obama took office - backroom deals, votes at 3:00 a. m., secret meetings.

And now, Obama is delaying his Hawaiian vacation to try and raise your taxes. (SOURCE 1) (SOURCE 2)

So again, whatever happened to "95% of Americans will actually receive a tax cut?"  Us 95%ers would like to know although we all know the answer to that one.

The soon-to-exit Democrats are intent on doing as much damage as they possibly can before they have to leave in January.  We must keep the pressure on to stop this.

Those of you who have lame duck Democrats representing you in Congress should be e-mailing them about things like this.  While they don't have anything to lose personally at this point since they have already lost their seats, they now must think about what is best for their party and voting against the will of their constituents isn't it.  More of them will be coming up for re-election in 2012.  If we remain silent as we have over the past few weeks, the results will be disastrous.  Our fight to stop the destruction of our freedoms and way of life isn't over . . . it's just begun.

YOU THINK ACORN WENT AWAY?

Think again. Just like the radicals (liberals) of the '60's, they didn't go away, just went somewhere else. Just a side note here in case you didn't know, liberals in the '60's were known as "radicals". They didn't disappear, they took over the environmental movement. That's why the environmental movement is so wildly leftist now. ACORN is now operating under the name of "Communities United" and continues to lobby in Washington. Yes, ACORN has faded from the news media, but they are now trying to fly just under the radar of the public. Here's the article:

ACORN lobby efforts continue in Washington under Communities United name

Bookmark and Share

For a supposedly dead organization, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now sure has been busy.

Despite ACORN’s reported demise, the radical group’s flagship Washington, D.C., office continues to go about its business below the radar as state chapters across the nation form breakaway groups.

On May 5 ACORN’s new D.C. spinoff group, Communities United, held a founding meeting in ACORN’s office on 8th Street Southeast in the nation’s capital.

“Communities United is just ACORN’s way of thumbing their nose in the face of everyone,” sources close to ACORN say.

The D.C. office is important to ACORN because the embattled advocacy organization runs its congressional lobbying efforts out of it.

The same office is also home to Project Vote, ACORN’s voter registration arm, which continues to operate. In the 1990s President Obama trained ACORN activists and worked for Project Vote.

Communities United registered as a nonprofit corporation with the District of Columbia government on May 4 and is the product of the consolidation of ACORN’s D.C. and Maryland chapters. The new group expects to open a Maryland branch office, sources said.

ACORN’s head organizer for Columbus, Ohio, Barbara Clark, is expected to be brought in to run the new group, according to sources. As part of a racketeering lawsuit settlement with the 1851 Center for Constitutional Law, a libertarian public interest law firm, ACORN is required to surrender its business licenses in Ohio by June 1.

Apart from Communities United, ACORN chapters in 12 states have reorganized themselves into 11 new organizations. The largest appear to be Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment, New York Communities for Change, and New England United for Justice (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island).

Meanwhile, lobbyists for ACORN’s largest and best-funded affiliate, ACORN Housing, which recently changed its name to Affordable Housing Centers of America, disclosed in a lobbying reporting form that they have been lobbying a federal agency that is reportedly investigating ACORN Housing.

According to the form ACORN Housing paid the lobbying firm $40,000 in the first quarter of this year to lobby both houses of Congress, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the Department of Justice (DOJ).

ACORN Housing is under investigation by HUD.

ACORN received some unwanted publicity in recent weeks when a video surfaced showing ACORN Chief Executive and chief organizer Bertha Lewis openly praising socialism and referring to the Tea Party as a “bowel movement” filled with racists.

Although ACORN leaders typically refuse to be labeled as socialists because they realize the term has a negative connotation in American culture, ACORN’s manifesto, the “People’s Platform,” explicitly endorses massive redistribution of wealth, along with a crackdown on bankers and forcing corporations to put poor people on their corporate boards.

Lewis told reporters last month that her group had reduced its staff to four, down from as many as 600 employees.

DEMOCRATS NOW THREATENING HEALTHCARE TAKEOVER OPPONENTS

True to form, the fascist Democrats are now trying to threaten and intimidate those who oppose the government healthcare takeover. Here is an ARTICLE that appeared on the WASHINGTON EXAMINER about REPRESENTATIVE HENRY WAXMAN, D-California, called in some of the top executives of several companies to explain why they had said the recently passed healthcare takeover would cost their companies millions of dollars. Waxman is also demanding the companies turn over company documents related to their healthcare expenses. Now, the last time I checked, the First Amendment guaranteed freedom of speech which includes the expression of opinions.

Representative Waxman and the POLITBURO are using scare tactics to try to stop any public opposition to the healthcare takeover. Now, since when has political opposition been an offense where the government calls one to Washington to "explain themselves"?

Here is one of the letters to one of the executives:

HENRY A. WAXMAN, CALIFORNIA
CHAIRMAN
ONE HUNDRED ELEVENTH CONGRESS
COMMITTEE ON ENERGY AND COMMERCE
2125 RAYBURN HOUSE OFFICE BUILDING
WASHINGTON, DC 20515-6115

Mr. Samuel R. Allen
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Deere & Company
One John Deere Place
Moline, Illinois 61265-8098

Dear Mr. Allen:

On March 23,2010, President Obama signed health care reform into law. One of the top
priorities of the House Energy and Commerce Committee will be to ensure that the law is
implemented effectively and does not have unintended consequences.

After the President signed the health care reform bill into law, your company announced
that the new law would adversely affect its financial outlook for Fiscal Year 2010, stating, "As a
result of the legislation, the company's expenses are expected to be about $150 million higher on
an after-tax basis."!

The new law is designed to expand coverage and bring down costs, so your assertions are
a matter of concern. They also appear to conflict with independent analyses. The Congressional
Budget Office has reported that companies that insure more than 50 employees would see a
decrease of up to 3% in average premium costs per person by 2016,z The Business Roundtable,
an association of chief executive officers from leading U.S. companies, asserted in November
2009 that health care reform could reduce predicted health insurance cost trends for businesses
by more than $3,000 per employee over the next ten years.3

The Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing on April 21, 2010
at 10:00 a.m. in Room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building to examine the impact of the
new law on Deere & Company and other large employers. We request your personal testimony
at this hearing.

To assist the Committee with its preparation for the hearing, we request that you provide
the following documents from January 1,2009, through the present: (1) any analyses related to
the projected impact of health care reform on Deere & Company; and (2) any documents,
including e-mail messages, sent to or prepared or reviewed by senior company officials related to
the projected impact of health care reform on Deere & Company. We also request an
explanation of the accounting methods used by Deere & Company since 2003 to estimate the
financial impact on your company of the 28% subsidy for retiree drug coverage and its
deductibility or nondeductibility, including the accounting methods used in preparing the cost
impact released by Deere & Company this week.

We ask that you provide the requested information by April 9, 2010. For purposes of this
request, the term "senior company officials" includes all company officials at the level of Vice
President and above for the company or any subsidiary. Attachments to this letter provide
additional information about responding to Committee document requests and testifying before
the Committee.

If you have any questions regarding this request, please contact Meredith Fuchs with the
Committee staff at (202) 226-2424.

Did you notice? The Oversight and Investigations subcommittee? What is there to investigate? Folks, this is government gone (even more) crazy. The government absolutely cannot ask for a private enterprise's internal documents without probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. Furthermore, asking for even e-mails? Mr. Waxman, I seriously don't think so. So Soviet Unionish of you.

Refer to the Fourth Amendment: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." The only crime here is that someone stood up and told the truth about this healthcare disaster in the making. Mr. Waxman and the rest of the Politburo needs to refer back to the First Amendment above.

This shouldn't be surprising. Obama asked citizens a long time ago to report anyone who opposed the healthcare debacle.

I think we're going to see much more of this between now and November. The leftist Democrats know their time is limited, and they are well aware of the poll numbers showing they are all in serious trouble.

Just a little side note here. This is where it is really a very good thing that the TEA PARTY movement does not have a single leader. If it did, I think he or she would have already been called to Washington to "explain themselves."

CRASH OF '09

No, this isn't about the economy or any kind of historic economic disaster like the Great Depression. I guess one could call this a great depression, but again, it's not about economics. What I'm speaking of is Obama's approval rating. It seems as it continues downward, it's picking up momentum. According to all the latest polls, Obama's approval ratings are crashing.

According to the Gallup Poll, Obama's approval rating fell from 51% when their latest POLL published on August 26, 2009 to 50%. Gallup said if Obama's approval rating falls below 50% before November, this will have been the third fastest decline below majority approval since World War II. The other two presidents are Gerald Ford, who fell below the halfway mark in his third month, and Bill Clinton when it took four months.

The latest RASMUSSEN POLL published September 3, 2009, shows that only 28% of voters Strongly Approve of the job Obama is doing. It shows that 39% of voters Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a -11 Presidential Approval Index. The last time I posted Obama's ratings on August 21, 2009, it was -8. Here's more bad news for the Obama administration: 68% believe that passage of Obamacare will increase the deficit; 47% believe their taxes will go up by the end of Obama's term which is the highest total yet (more and more are seeing the light!); 53% disapprove of the job Obama's doing with 47% saying they at least somewhat approve. Let's not leave out Congress: 51% of the nation's voters think Congress is too liberal, while only 22% think it's too conservative. (How in the world can anyone think Congress is too conservative?)

Now for ZOGBY: according to their poll taken August 28-31, 2009, Obama's approval rating is 42%, with 48% disapproving. Obama has lost ground with some Democrats too. Between July 21-24, 2009 and this latest poll, Democrats' approval of Obama's performance has dropped from 88% to 75%, liberals in general from 95% to 86%, 18-29 year-olds from 59% to 41%, and African-Americans from 83% to 74%.

Below are the results from some other major polls as published on REAL CLEAR POLITICS.

The Obama administration must be in panic mode right now as well as the Democrats generally. There is absolutely no good news whatsoever, and on Zogby's site there are a couple of commenters I saw that voted for Obama that no longer support him. With these numbers, there has to be a lot of people included in the disapproving ranks that voted for Obama. Just casual observation on my part, hardly a scientific indicator, I'm seeing far fewer Obama stickers on cars around Atlanta than I did just 90 days ago. I see one occasionally now, and just three months ago I was still seeing a lot of them. I haven't heard anyone in passing conversation at work or around town say anything about having voted for him. Considering the continued trend nationally, I think 2010 is shaping up to be a very interesting, and likely disastrous year for the Democrats, especially considering the Democrat majority Congress can't seem to get their approval ratings anywhere within a country mile of fifty percent.

It seems Obama's approval rating just keeps on dropping. Much to this administration's and the liberal left's chagrin, Americans are continuing to inform themselves about what the Obama administration and the Democrats in Congress are doing.

And speaking of Congress . . . wanna guess what THEIR approval rating is? No where near Obama's . . . it's still about 31%.

OBAMA'S HOUSE OF CARDS COLLAPSING

The following article must have the Obama administration in "Oh You-Know-What" mode. I'm sure he and his staff are scrambling to try to do damage control. One of the things they and the rest of the liberal left are doing is demonizing the protests against the health care legislation being considered in Congress. The article was written by Scott Rasmussen and posted today on the RASMUSSEN REPORTS. There are some interesting poll numbers in this article that must have Obama and the rest of the leftist Democrats sweating like the proverbial pig.

"Seventy-one percent (71%) of U. S. voters say President Obama's policies have increased the size of the Federal deficit."

"Only five percent (5%) say the president's policies have cut the deficit, and 10% say they have had no impact. Thirteen percent (13%) are not sure."

Wow! Almost three-quarters of U.S. voters! Obama being responsible for increasing the size of the Federal deficit has always been a no-brainer, but it seems people are now paying attention. This is really bad news for Obama. Can't blame Bush anymore when you consider that the Obama administration and the Democrat dominated Congress have run up the deficit more in six months than the Bush administration did in eight years.

"Not surprisingly, 88% of Republicans blame the president's policies, compared to 52% of Democrats. But 79% of voters not affiliated with either party agree."

Over half of the Democrats agree that Obama has driven up the Federal deficit. Really bad news for the Obama administration and the liberal Democrats in Congress.

An interesting statistic is that even though 54% blame the recession that began under the Bush administration for our current economic problems, but get this: 39% say our economic troubles are Obama's fault. More bad news for Obama.

Let's keep going: 37% cutting the Federal deficit in half over the next four years is number one among four of Obama's priorities, but 66% view it as a goal he is unlikely to achieve.

Nearly have think cuts in government spending helps the economy. Even more bad news for Obama considering his excessive deficit spending policies.

And the last one I'll cover here: "54% of U.S. voters say TAX CUTS (emphasis mine) are more important than new spending for health care reform." People may be starting to realize that tax cuts increase Federal revenue and boost the economy. I think this is also an indicator people are fed up with the tax burden, and the threat of INCREASING TAXES to pay for Obamacare should it pass. So much for 95% of middle class Americans getting a tax cut as Obama insisted during his campaign.

The 2010 elections are coming . . . and so are we the voters. We're not forgetting, and as I have said before, we are NOT going away. Congress better start listening to us now. The thunder of dissent is growing . . .
